This one's probably more of an experiment than a recipe but it's a lot of fun.
Simply stir 3oz whiskey and 0.5oz Demerara Syrup on ice and serve it up (i.e. chilled without ice).
It's less sweet than you might expect, and the molasses of the Demerara really complements the oaky, toasty notes of the whiskey while smoothing out the (potentially) spicy finish.
Try it with different whiskeys to see what happens.
